About Kim
As a Registered Nurse with over 37 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of capacities and sectors within the health care field. I have acquired a diverse set of skills from my nursing roles in acute care, patient and staff education, health care management, and Public Health.
I hold certification in Level 1 and Level 2 Expressive Arts Training, and am a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist®.
As a Crisis Responder, I am an active volunteer with Victim Services Huron County.
Currently, I am a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO), and hold a Professional Membership with The Grief Recovery Institute®.
My career has been dedicated to life long learning to challenge myself in new roles, and enhancing the lives of others. I am grateful for the privilege of providing care, teaching and support to many patients/clients, families and staff for 30+ years. My work in health care has provided me with a wealth of experience, education, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Through life circumstances and opportunities in recent years, my journey has taken me into the world of Expressive Arts, and Grief Recovery and Support. On this transformative journey, I have both witnessed and experienced the positive benefits of using the arts to heal from such issues as grief, loss and trauma. As a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist®, I use the Grief Recovery Method® evidenced based, action-oriented program, to provide individuals with tools, and information to complete what is emotionally incomplete from their past, in order to move forward.
By providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, it is my goal to provide individuals with the opportunity to explore their inner self, to promote healing and personal growth.
"What do we live for, if not to make life less difficult for each other?"
