What is The Grief Recovery Method®
The Grief Recovery Method® is an evidenced-based, action-oriented program that is designed to help you complete the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by loss of any kind. This structured program offers you the tools to use to complete any unresolved emotions that are causing you pain, while providing supportive, emotional guidance every step of the way.
7-Session Grief Recovery® One-on-One Program
An individual approach to Grief Recovery® will allow you to explore and uncover your grief at your own pace with the safety and confidentiality of a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist®.
We recognize and appreciate that everyone's grief healing is unique and individual, thus, you may require more than 7 sessions to compete the program. Our number one priority is your emotional completion to the pain, isolation, and loneliness caused by your loss.
The text that is used to guide you to recovery is The Grief Recovery Handbook – 20th Anniversary Expanded Edition – The Action Program for Moving Beyond Death, Divorce, and Other Losses by John W. James and Russell Friedman.
8 -Session Grief Recovery® Peer Support Group
A group approach to Grief Recovery® will allow you the opportunity to share and connect with others who have also experienced a significant loss, without judgment, criticism, or analysis.
The support group is a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to share the feelings you experienced following your loss and to courageously take new action to complete the pain associated with those feelings. It is not time in itself that heals our wounds, it is the actions we take within time that does. Thus, our grief-healing program requires total commitment.

4-Session Helping Children Deal With Loss- Education Series
Our four-session educational series is an opportunity for parents, teachers, caregivers, and other significant adults in a child’s life to learn new and effective ways to help a child who is dealing with loss of any kind.
The program is offered in a one-on-one and group format, and offers an opportunity to develop new guidelines and strategies for empowering children to develop a lifelong, healthy response to loss. No matter the reason behind a child’s grief or the degree of severity, if a child you care about is grieving, the guidelines examined in this four-session series can make a difference.
The educational series will be guided by the text When Children Grieve – For Adults to Help Children With Death, Divorce, Pet Loss, Moving and Other Losses by John W. James, Russell Friedman and Dr. Leslie Landon Matthews.
The Grief Recovery Programs® are offered by a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist® to individuals 18 years and older.
“Grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior.”
